2	Benjamin appears in the 1850, 60, 70 census
3	In the 1850 Census all the children are listed except Martha. I have not found any information on her. She may have died before the census. John W Gee is listed as 20 years old and a farmer in the 1850 census. The birthplace of William J. may be South Carolina. In the 1880 Census John W. shows the birthplace of his father as Georgia.. However, I have seen it shown as South Carolina. The boundaries of these two states change from time to time so that may be the reason for the two birthplaces. The 1850 census that lists the children does not include Martha b.1841 d. 1845 and William E. who died in 1845. In 1820 Wm J was Listed in the Census on the same page with the Byars. (His wife was Agnes Byers Findley). They married in 1824. He is listed in the 1830 and 1840 census as well. In 1840 he was in Chickasaw, Mississippi. The 1850 census was the first one to list names and he was located in Chickasaw, Mississippi, 49 years old. Agnes is also 49. The children are: A L 25 (Andrew) Francis Marion 23 Benjamin Franklin 21 John W 20 Phillip 18 Elizabeth J 16 Mary 6 James F 3
4	In the 1850 Census in Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi he is listed as single. It would seem that he married Martha about 1850 or 1851. In the 1860 census he and Martha had 6 children, ages 2 - 10 in Mississippi . Then they moved to Texas leaving their grown children behind in Mississippi and had 2 more children there. In the 1880 Census for Bell County, Texas they had 4 children ages 8, 10, 16, and 19. James, 19 and William Lawson, 16 were born in Mississippi and Belzora, 10 in Tennessee, and Mollie J. 8, in Arkansas. They must have moved a lot. John W was a prisoner of war captured 4/4/1863 in the Mississippi infantry at the battle of Vicksburg. He was 6'3", dark complected, blue eyes, and dark hair. He was 35 years old.

8	Rose's grandaughter, Helen Gee, told Gwendolyn Johnson Taylor, that Rose was 5'11" tall and weighted 210 lbs. She had dark brown hair and eyes. Her wedding dress in the photo was Ecru.

22	Alan, left school early due to his father working away in Beverley near Hull in construction., he started driving a Bread Delivery van and then moved onto the Buses in Manchester. from there he started driving Taxicabs and opened his own business . He used to do wedding cars on the side on weekends. He was a member of the Greater Manchester Taxi Association (Life Time). and continued working until a few years after his wifes death in 1975. During the war years he was in the R.A.F. driving the tenders out to the returning aircraft as they came in for landing, he tried to be a pilot but failed due to his bad eyesight in one eye. He was abroad in Belguim and Denmark and did keep in touch with some of the friends he made over there until the late 1990s His R.A.F. serial number was 1685547. he spent time in Blackpool,Conningsbury,Mildenhall Stradishall Newmarket and Blake HIll Farms. He was attached to the 97th Squadron for a time. he ferried equipment over to France before being deployed to Brussels and then later Copenhagen. 40	George could not find work in Manchester and went to work away in Beverley near Hull, he caught Pneumonia and Pleurosy and died there, He is buried in Southern Cemetery in Manchester grave information on file and in scrapbook. He was working as a general Labourer and was in Lodgings at 41 Woodlands Beverley, County of York. England George spent some time in the military, pictures on file. His number was R.M.E 4232. There is a medal in his file awarded during the first world war. His military record has yet to be found. Alan Gee said his father was a very mellow and laid back person, he used to buy a 5 pack of Woodbine cigarettes and bet on the horses once a week (5 old pence).
